When the Musikantenstadl show, a grand music and entertainment
program on Austrian Television's ORF2 channel aired on Saturday, May
7th, a postcard from Poreč reached seven and a half
million viewers in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, the number of
viewers it is estimated that Musikantenstadl has in those countries.

Poreč opened this year's tourist season and welcomed the first larger groups
of tourists with festivities in mind during the Easter holiday. The days-long
holiday festivities on Poreč's Freedom Square (Trg
Slobode) were marked by Easter celebrations, music and breakfast for locals

The Plavi Cvijet (Blue Flower) Prize is awarded by the Croatian Tourist
Board to the most beautifully organised tourist municipalities and
cities on the Adriatic coast. This year's winner in the category of
cities with ten thousand or more inhabitants is Poreč.
